Allen works extensively with all entities involved in construction including owners, municipalities, design professionals and contractors to provide counsel throughout the construction process, including contract drafting and negotiation. Allen has first and second chair trial experience and has done appellate work in federal and state courts. Allen is admitted to practice law in both North Carolina and South Carolina, in both state and federal courts and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to joining Hamilton Moon Stephens, Allen practiced with the firm Kilpatrick Stockton. Allen graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law where he served on Law Review. He also has a degree from the University of South Carolina in Journalism, where he graduated with honors. Allen also served in the United States Marine Corps.
